Why pick PNG over JPG for pages with text?
PNG is lossless, so small text, lines and tables don't get halos. The tradeoff is that the file is usually heavier than a JPG.
Which resolution should I use for printing?
Use 300 dpi for print. For viewing on a screen, 72 or 150 dpi is enough. The higher the resolution, the heavier the PNG.
How do I convert just one page of a PDF to PNG?
Type its number in the "Pages" field. A single page downloads straight as a PNG, with no ZIP.
Why did I get a ZIP instead of a PNG?
When several pages are selected, all the PNGs are packed into one ZIP. Each file name includes the page number, so the order is easy to follow.
How many pages can I convert to PNG for free?
Up to 200 pages per request, free for files up to 20 MB. Larger files, up to 100 MB, need a subscription.
Can I convert a locked PDF to PNG?
No, a PDF with an open password is rejected. Remove the password first, then convert the file.
Is my PDF deleted from the server afterward?
Yes, the file is deleted right after the response, even if processing fails. Files are not used to train models and are not shared with third parties.
Can I edit the text in the PNG later?
No, each page becomes a picture and the text is not recognized. If you need to change the wording, convert the PDF to Word instead.
