Frequently asked questions
The essentials in brief
How do I merge several JPGs into a single PDF?
Select all photos at once or keep adding them with "Add more". Each JPG becomes its own page, and "Up" and "Down" change the order.
Does a JPG get recompressed when converted to PDF?
No, an upright JPG is embedded in the PDF exactly as it is. Only rotated phone photos are re-encoded, at 92 % quality.
Why is my PDF from photos so large?
Images go in without recompression, so the PDF weighs about as much as all the photos together. Compress or resize the photos first to get a lighter file.
How do I fit a photo of a document onto a Letter page?
Under "Page", choose "Other page size" and then "Letter" or "A4". The image is fitted to the sheet, and you can keep its orientation or set portrait or landscape.
Can I change the page order before downloading?
Yes, "Up" and "Down" move photos in the list. The list order becomes the page order.
Can I search for words in a PDF made from photos?
No, text in the photos is not recognized, so the pages stay images. You won't be able to copy or search the words.
Will photos taken sideways on my phone end up rotated?
No, EXIF rotation is applied, so each photo sits on the page the right way. Those photos are saved again as JPG at 92 % quality.
Is there a limit on how many JPGs go into one PDF?
No, the PDF is built in your browser, so only your device memory sets the limit. On an older phone a big batch simply takes longer.
